Introduction
Stainless Steel 304L Pipe is a low carbon containing version of its parent i.e. alloy grade 304. Typically the stainless steel astm a312 tp304L specified pipes produced in our factory are meant to be used in applications involved in both elevated temperature settings as well as general corrosive service. According to specification ASTM A312, the stainless steel 304L seamless pipe must be furnished in a heat treated condition.
Product Description
In fact, the heat treatment performed on the 304L food grade stainless steel pipe must be in accordance with the required heat temperature and it must meet the cooling or testing requirements as well.As specified by the above mentioned ASTM A312 standard, the Stainless Steel 304L Pipe has to undergo mechanical tests such as transverse or longitudinal tension test along with a flattening test. Additionally, the Tensile properties of the stainless steel 304L welded pipe needs to adapt to the tensile strength and yield strength requirements as prescribed by the specification.A reason why our clients prefer using alloy grade 304L stainless steel square pipe is due to its lower carbon content. Since the stainless steel pipe 1.4307 has a lower carbon content in comparison to grade 304, it helps minimize or even eliminate carbide precipitation, which can occur during the welding process. Hence, stainless steel grade astm a312 tp304L ERW can be used in an as-welded condition, even when exposed to severe corrosive environments.
